Ducati’s new Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 debut as the brand’s lightest, blending powerful twin-cylinder performance with agility for both track and road thrills.
New Delhi: Ducati has introduced the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, marking a new chapter for the brand’s twin-cylinder lineup. These models are the lightest Panigale and Streetfighter ever produced, blending top-tier performance on the track with dynamic road capabilities.
Both bikes are powered by Ducati’s newly developed V2 engine, which features innovative variable valve timing (IVT). This technology ensures a broad torque curve, delivering ample power at both low and high revs. Ducati designed the V2 engine to set a new benchmark in compactness and lightness among twin-cylinder bikes, reinforcing the performance potential of both the Panigale and Streetfighter.
Panigale V2
The Panigale V2 is a significant addition to Ducati’s sportbike range, representing a design evolution that deviates from the past approach of using downsized engines. Inspired by earlier models like the 748, 848, and 959, the Panigale V2 maintains a race-oriented feel but is crafted for easy handling and versatility. Built on an entirely re-engineered frame and chassis, the Panigale V2 combines Ducati’s renowned sporty character with an inviting and manageable riding experience for daily use.
Streetfighter V2
The Streetfighter V2, on the other hand, uses Ducati’s “Fight Formula” to create a powerful and agile naked bike designed for both road thrills and track performance. With the Panigale V2’s chassis and a lightweight 175 kg frame, the Streetfighter V2 is a stripped-down model featuring an 890 cc engine. It’s built for riders who crave direct, unfiltered connection to Ducati’s performance DNA, with high, wide handlebars and an aggressive stance that provide full control and excitement. Without the fairings, the Streetfighter V2 offers an unfiltered riding experience.
Displayed alongside other new models at Ducati’s EICMA showcase, the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 emphasize Ducati’s dedication to pushing boundaries in design and engineering, setting a fresh standard in performance, weight reduction, and versatility in the twin-cylinder category.
