Dr Wee congratulates Aaron Chia and Sooh Wooi Yik for bronze win

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong congratulates Aaron Chia and Sooh Wooi Yik for winning Malaysia’s first bronze medal at the Paris 20204 Olympics.

“Nothing is impossible, even after losing the first set 20-16 and trailing 20-16, they made a comeback to win 22-20 in the second set and then proceeded to the third set, wrote the MCA president.

Malaysians worldwide held their breath as Chia and Sooh faced World No. 2, Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark at the Adidas Arena in Port de la Chapelle on Sunday (August 4).

“It was a fierce and thrilling match for the bronze medal in the men’s doubles badminton category,” exclaimed Dr Wee.

He concluded his post with “Congratulations Malaysia!”
