Manish Harishankar, the brains behind Show Stopper, pointed out that actor Digangana Suryavanshi was putting forth false claims of being able to get Akshay Kumar on side, all while demanding additional funds.
The claims made by Showstopper’s producer, Manish Harishankar, directed towards actress Digangana Suryavanshi have been thoroughly investigated by Mumbai Police. They’ve wrapped up their probe, declaring the accusations as groundless. Digangana’s team has made their point with clear evidence in the form of an RTI report. The report establishes without a shadow of doubt that police couldn’t find substantial grounds to further pursue the investigation.
A formal announcement came directly from Digangana’s crew, they declared, “On Digangana’s behalf, we would like to officially state that the allegations made on Digangana Suryavanshi by Manish Harishankar in his complaint to the Mumbai police have been proven false. The matter is shut by the police. The RTI report is given to the media publications in faith which is self-explanatory. We didn’t want to give out any statement during the police investigation; we wanted to patiently wait for the official verdict by the police.” The team further revealed, “Which now clearly states that Digangana was not wrong at all. We would like to thank the Mumbai police for their fair investigation and bringing out the truth. Thank you to all the well-wishers for always believing in her. Digangana is known for her clean reputation, and continues to keep it intact (sic).”
What Exactly Happened Between Digangana and Harishankar
Manish’s production firm, MH Films, reported Digangana to the police in June. They have accused her of deceit and betrayal, as per the stipulations of IPC sections 420 and 406.
The report read, “She said she has personal relationships with stars such as Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, and she would be in a position to rope in such a popular actor as a presenter (sic).” The claim suggests that she dishonestly took the money with the misrepresentation of roping Akshay into the project. Falguni Brahmbhatt, the production company’s legal representative, also claimed that Digangana supposedly attempted to strong-arm a hefty payout through threats, cautioning Harishankar of serious consequences if she was not appeased.
After Manish lodged a complaint against her, Digangana promptly slapped him with a legal notice accusing him of defamation, even taking her grievances to the police. She brushed off Manish’s claims as nothing more than baseless accusations, interpreting them as a desperate cry for attention. Frustrated, she shared how she was tired of addressing this issue repeatedly and stated that she’d already invested much effort trying to help him.
In defense of Digangana, her lawyer, Rajendra Mishra, claimed that she had received the green light from Akshay Kumar for a collaborative project linked to a show, a commitment which Manish didn’t follow through after agreeing.
