Diet Coke announces major change for customers starting today

Diet Coke enthusiasts are in for a treat as the brand unveils a significant update that’s touted as making ‘perfect sense’.

The iconic beverage is launching a personalised can and bottle campaign across the UK, allowing fans to find their own names on the packaging.

Shoppers with a keen eye will soon discover an array of over 150 different named cans available throughout stores nationwide.

The special edition Diet Coke named cans and bottles will be up for grabs until September, ensuring that every Diet Coke fan named Tom, Dean, or Sally gets a chance to pick up a bespoke drink.

For those who can’t spot their name on the shelves, Diet Coke is offering a chance to win one of 4,000 customised cans.

To enter, simply buy a Diet Coke, scan the QR code, download the Coca-Cola app, and you could be in luck. All participants will automatically be entered into a weekly draw for grander prizes, which include lavish hotel stays, spa days, and shopping sprees valued at up to £5,000, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Louise Maugest, the senior marketing director for Diet Coke, said: “We know how much our fans love a Diet Coke break taking time for themselves in the midst of their busy lives so, it made perfect sense for us to make that time even more special. We’re so excited to be bringing personalised cans to our fans this summer and we’d love to hear from them when they spot theirs in store by tagging @DietCokeGB.”

In celebration of the launch of their new personalised cans, Diet Coke is hitting the road this July and August. The ‘Diet Coke Break, By You’ airstream trailer experience will be making appearances in both central London and Manchester.

The trailer will feature a Diet Coke relaxation zone where visitors can unwind with an ice-cold DC. Additionally, a limited number of manicure appointments are available for booking.

Those who secure a booking will have the opportunity to indulge in DC-themed nail art, including one finger adorned with a personalised initial in the classic Diet Coke font. Every visitor will also receive their very own personalised can as a keepsake.

The ‘Diet Coke Break By You Airstream’ will be stationed at the following locations, and nail appointments can be booked via the Coca-Cola app:

  • Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 – Malaysia Square, Battersea Power Station, London
  • Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4 – The Trafford Centre, Manchester
