Mrunal Thakur revealed that she had to beg for a role in a film. She also said that she gave plenty of auditions for the same role.

Mrunal Thakur is soon going to turn a year older. The actress will celebrate her birthday on August 1, 2024. Thakur has been significantly gaining a name in the industry for her stellar performance. Recently, Mrunal revealed that she had a verbal spat with the producers for her role in Pooja Meri Jaan. The Hi Nanna actor also added that she auditioned for the role several times, and even begged for the part.

Mrunal appeared as guest on The Longest Interviewpodcast on Audible where she said, “There is one film, ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ that I have done, it is yet to be released. But that film is something that I wanted to do, this is who I am, and this is what happened to me. So, I fought with the producers because I found out someone else was supposed to play this character.”

“When I found out this film was being made, I fought for that role – I gave multiple auditions and screen tests. I had to literally beg for it. We shot it 2 years ago, and it should hopefully be released this year. I remember it was the last day of shooting for ‘Sita Ramam’ and I had to take a flight the next morning for a screen test,” she also added.

Coming to Mrunal’s work front, the actor will be next seen in Vishwambhara. The movie is helmed by Mallidi Vasishta and also features Trisha Krishnan, Chiranjeevi, Janhvi Kapoor, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Kunal Kapoor in significant roles. The movie falls under the category of fantasy adventure and will hit the big screens on January 10, 2025. She was last seen playing the lead role in the Telugu movie The Family Star.
