Jr NTR’s film Devara finally hit the big screens. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie was released on September 27. Despite being one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year, Devara fell short of impressing audiences completely, receiving mixed reviews from both fans and critics. Regarding the Devara box office collection on day 3, early estimates suggest the movie earned Rs 35 crore in India and added Rs 50 crore to its global earnings, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

Devara was highly anticipated, with fans expecting the film to surpass the collections of RRR or Kalki 2898 AD. However, to everyone’s disappointment, Devara’s box office collection on day 1 stood at Rs 82.5 crore. On its second day, the action-drama earned Rs 40 crore domestically, according to Sacnilk. On a global scale, the film has grossed Rs 243 crore. For the unversed, Devara was released in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Devara’s official X account revealed a new poster featuring Jr NTR, highlighting the film’s impressive global box office collection during its first two days. The poster proudly displayed the text “Rs 243 Crores Global Box Office Collection,” accompanied by the caption: “Weapons of DESTRUCTION… unleashing FEAR that no corner can hide from!!”

Despite its solid performance, Devara lags behind two other major releases this year. The sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, earned Rs 298.5 crore globally within just two days. Likewise, Prabhas’ Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, released in 2023, collected Rs 295.7 crore in its first two days.
