Democratic 2024 presidential candidate Rep. Dean Phillips (Minn.) claims President Joe Biden’s campaign has pushed news outlets to blackball him.
Phillips, who is one of Biden’s opponents in the Democratic primary, told Politico in an interview the Biden campaign had instructed people against attending his events, showing support for him or even giving him a platform.
“I do know of specific cases where representatives of the Biden campaign have been very clear to others about trying to not attend events of mine, to not support me, and to not platform me,” Phillips told the outlet. “It is almost antithetical to democratic principles, which include debate, deliberation and ultimately compromise.”

While conservative news media outlets have been “more than invitational” and he has been featured on CNN several times, Phillips called out MSNBC.
“Right media has been more than invitational,” Phillips said, adding he didn’t think there was “an MSNBC viewer that even knows” he is a congressman due to “what’s being portrayed” to them.
Phillips is trailing Biden by roughly 66 points, sitting at 3.2, while author Marianne Williamson sits at 7.9 and Biden sits at 69.8, according to RealClearPolitics.
In December, Phillips announced that he would be filing challenges against states such as Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee after he was left off of the ballot.
