Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone stunned her fans in a cop avatar for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. The actress will portray the character of Shakti Shetty. With anticipation building for the latest instalment in the Supercop series, Rohit Shetty raises expectations further by revealing another stylish look of Deepika Padukone in his recent social media update. The director shared a picture where Deepika can be seen donning a cop uniform.
Taking to Instagram, Rohit shared a picture of Deepika from the upcoming film. The photo featured Deepika Padukone donning the Khakhi uniform. Against a vibrant backdrop, Deepika is captured mirroring the iconic hand gesture of Ajay Devgn from the original Singham, sporting sunglasses. Sharing the same, Rohit Shetty wrote the caption, “MY HERO… REEL MEIN BHI AUR REAL MEIN BHI LADY SINGHAM!!! @deepikapadukone.”

Deepika is one of the prominent actors in the film. In 2023, the director of the film Rohit Shetty said that Singham Again will feature Deepika as one of the heroes. He said, “She is like one of the heroes, and what we are doing with it is that we will go with her story. We will make a film which has only Deepika. t is her story. Like Sooryavanshi, Singham and Simmba, the films had already been made, and people knew about them, but with Singham Again we are introducing these characters, and then we will tell their stories.”

Singham Again features Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Apart from Ajay, the movie also stars Ranveer Singh. Rohit Shetty during an event said Deepika would be essaying the role of the most ‘brutal and violent’ cop in his cop universe. In the initial poster reveal, Deepika appeared dressed in police attire, brandishing a gun. The firearm was positioned near a man’s mouth, and Deepika sported a menacing grin with blood visible on her forehead and shoulders.
