The raging L.A. wildfires have not only reduced properties to ashes, they have also left several casualties. While some a hanging in by a thread, some have lost their lives to this catastrophe. Reports have shown that as of Sunday, January 12, at least 24 people lost their lives in the Los Angeles area amid the fires. One of its recent victims is the retired actress Dalyce Curry.
Reportedly the mortal remains of the 95-year-old actress were found days after the fire burned down her Altadena property. The news of her demise due to the wildfire was confirmed by her great-granddaughter Dalyce Kelly on Sunday, January 13, 2025, via a social media post that read – “About an hour ago the coroner confirmed her remains were indeed found at the property. #RIPMOMMADEE 🕊️,”
“We had a great run. She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating,” she continued.
Reports state that Kelley took her grandmother, affectionately called “Momma D,” back to her home late Tuesday night, unaware of the upcoming disaster. The following morning, she hurried to the area to see if her grandmother was okay, only to be stopped by a police officer at a barricade who informed her that her grandmother’s house had completely burned to the ground.
Upon hearing the news, Kelley went to the Pasadena Civic Center. It was the venue that became a shelter for the displaced residents, but she was unable to find her.
