According to the latest report, Dalljiet filed a formal complaint against Nikhil on grounds of cruelty and criminal breach of trust amid rumours that they were divorcing.
Dalljiet filed a formal complaint against her estranged husband under BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) sections 85 and 316 (2), as per the Times Now report. The report further stated that Nikhil was in the town to establish that there was nothing she could do to change his choice to leave the wedding. Dalljiet, however, was clearly distressed when she posted about her emotions on Instagram, writing – “No words. Just tears that won’t stop.”

On March 10, 2023, Dalljiet and Nikhil tied the knot in front of their loved ones and close friends. After relocating to Kenya, she brought her son Jaydon back to Mumbai in January 2024. Rumours of a divorce began to circulate when the pair removed posts from their Instagram accounts and unfollowed one another in February 2024.
Before this, Nikhil claimed to have given Dalljiet a legal notice in response to her recent Instagram posts in which she accused him of having an extramarital affair. He threatened to donate them all to charity if she did not pick up her possessions from his Kenyan house.
