AMBALA: A Congress party worker allegedly also violated the secrecy of the election process by posting two videos showing the voting process on social media.
A user named Choudhary Anas, describing himself as Youth Congress district general secretary of Yamunanagar, had posted two videos of voting process on May 25, on the election day. In both the videos, the person who recorded the videos shows casting the vote to Congress’s Ambala Lok Sabha candidate Varun Chaudhary, while the election process was ongoing on May 25.
In one of the video, the voter is also making vulgar gestures with his hand before pressing button before Congress’s election symbol hand.
In first video post by Choudhary Anas, it is written as, “Badlav ki lehar 25 May ka din, Panja chunav chin” (Movement of change on May 25, election symbol is Hand) and person is seen voting to Varun Chaudhary on EVM machine and VVPAT.
In the second video, Anas wrote, “JEETEGA INDIA” (INDIA will win) and the person is seen voting for Varun Chaudhary while making vulgar gestures with his hand too.
The first video posted by Anas has over 87.7K views and 4651 likes and the second video has over 12K views and 742 likes.
Earlier, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Ambala candidate Gurpreet Singh had shared such a video on his social media, about which, Ambala nodal officer of model code of conduct issued notice to him, seeking a written clarification by May 30.
