Comedian Sunil Pal was earlier reported missing for 24 hours, sparking concern across social media. His wife had visited the Santacruz police station on Tuesday to file a missing person report after she couldn’t get in touch with him for several hours. This led to widespread rumors about Sunil’s disappearance. However, in a recent update, the comedian himself reached out to the Mumbai police, clarifying that the situation was caused by a phone malfunction, not a case of him going missing.
Comedian Sunil Pal NOT missing
Comedian Sunil Pal’s wife reported him missing after he failed to return home as planned. Sunil had gone out of Mumbai for a performance and had informed his wife that he would be back today. Her recent statement to the police read, “I’ve been trying to call him for several hours, but his phone isn’t connecting. Unable to reach him, I decided to go to the police station and file a missing person report,” she said.

The police started investigating the matter, but no formal report of a missing person was filed. Hours after the investigation, Santacruz Police reconnected with the comedian, revealing that his phone had malfunctioned. Moreover, Sunil was expected to return to Mumbai on Wednesday.

Sunil Pal is known for his rib-ticking stand-up comedy, he even appeared in the The Great Laughter Challenge back in 2005. Part from doing stand-up comedy, Sunil has also shown his versatility in Bollywood films. Many might have failed to spot him in popular films like Phir Hera Phera, Apna Sapna Money Money, Bombay to Goa, and Kick. Sunil Pal’s last film was Teri Bhabhi Hai Pehle released in 2018 and since then, the comedian was nowhere to be seen on big screens. Although he made headlines regularly for his statement which he openly addresses on criticising many stand-up comedians and actors.
