The City of Tshwane has warned Erasmuskloof residents about a possible eight-hour water supply disruption due to planned maintenance.
The maintenance will start from 8:00 until 16:00 on Tuesday, 7 May.
POSSIBLE WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION IN TSHWANE
In a statement, the metro municipality said its teams will connect to a water supply network in Erasmuskloof Extension 3 at the corner of Rubenstein Drive and Peddie Street.
The City of Tshwane said the maintenance will last for eight hours and it may interrupt the water supply in the areas mentioned above.
“The City of Tshwane apologises profusely for the inconvenience that the above-mentioned water supply interruption may cause,” the municipality said.
RESIDENTS URGED TO CONSERVE WATER
In an effort to conserve water, the City of Tshwane has requested that residents adhere to the following guidelines:
- Refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00.
- Avoid vehicle washing with hosepipes.
- No filling swimming pools during the maintenance period.
- Install low-flow shower heads and tap aerators.
- Use dual-flush toilet cisterns.
- Plant indigenous or drought-resistant shrubs.
- Utilise rainwater for garden irrigation or car washing.
- Use a broom instead of a hosepipe for cleaning.
- Close taps while brushing teeth or shaving.
