This achievement underscores Citroën’s commitment to passenger safety, adding to the vehicle’s already impressive driving experience characterized by its bold design, spacious interior, and aerodynamic silhouette.
The Basalt is designed with a robust body structure aimed at maximizing protection during collisions. Since its debut, it has garnered attention from automotive enthusiasts and first-time buyers, making a mark in a competitive market.

The rigorous testing process evaluated the Basalt through various crash scenarios, showcasing its advanced safety features. With over 40 active and passive safety features as standard, the Basalt utilizes high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel to effectively manage impact and minimize cabin intrusion.
Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Control, three-point seat belts with reminders for all seats, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. These features work together to provide a secure driving experience, reinforcing Citroën’s dedication to safety.
