Chicco Twala’s son Longwe arrested

Renowned music producer Sello ‘Chicco’ Twala’s son Longwe Twala is topping trends after he and his brother Sello Twala were arrested for theft.

Confirmed reports have it that the two broke into their father’s studio and stole music equipment worth thousands.

LONGWE TWALA ARRESTED FOR THEFT AND ROBBERY

According to Sunday World, the incident happened while Chicco Twala was abroad in the United States of America. However, the media has yet to confirm when the incident occurred.

The celebrated producer has since confirmed the news of their arrest. However, he revealed that he doesn’t care about good or bad publicity because he was doing the right thing.

“Good or bad publicity, I don’t care. I won’t sit and watch a drug addict continuously stealing from me and be silent,” said Twala in a statement.

“Yes, I can confirm that when I was in the USA, my son Longwe and his brother Sello Twala colluded and stole my studio equipment.

“Longwe, whom I chased away a while ago because of his drug addiction, jumped the high walls, broke into my studio, and stole my stuff.

“I saw the likes of the late Hope Zinde and many parents killed by their own flesh and blood because of this drug addiction. Him and his younger brother have been stealing from me for a long time. Hence, I decided that enough was enough… Let them rot in jail,” said Twala.

A close source revealed to the media that the case had since been opened at the Douglasdale police station.

However, little is known about the number of charges levelled against the two. This is not the first time the two have stolen from their father.

Speaking to the media, the source said, “Case was opened at Douglasdale police station. They broke into their father’s studios while on drugs and stole equipment worth thousands.”

MAKING HEADLINES

No doubt, Longwe Twala’s arrest comes barely a few weeks after it was alleged that he shot and killed Senzo Meyiwa with his father’s 9mm parabellum semi-automatic pistol.

These allegations were heard last week at the Pretoria High Court during court proceedings in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.

Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu, who is representing one of the accused, said a witness will come and testify on behalf of his client (Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya) that Longwe Twala shot and killed Meyiwa.

The former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed at Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house on 26 October 2014.
