Samsung Galaxy S24 disassembly reveals the internal design
- The back panel of the phone has been pried off after applying heat. It appears the camera lens covers can be replaced individually.
- There are 20 Philips screws and on opening the back panel, you see the wireless charging coil and NFC antenna.
- The standard Galaxy S24 doesn’t have a UWB antenna, while the Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra phones do feature this.
- The mainboard has a dual-layer design similar to last year.
- The 12MP front camera is glued in place, which means you have to use a knife to cut the glue around the sensor. The rear cameras can be popped off easily.
- The battery of the Galaxy S24 can be removed with a pull tab
- The disassembly video shows the standard Samsung Galaxy S24 features a large copper vapour chamber underneath the battery. It is said to be almost double the size compared to the Galaxy S23.
- Unfortunately, removing the screen from the frame doesn’t look that easy, courtesy of the very narrow bezels. It is almost impossible to pry the screen without damaging it.
