CENTER Parcs axed an advert today after it was branded sexist for poking fun at mums.
Furious holidaymakers spotted the image online, which showed a family of cyclists with the mother at the back of the group.
It was captioned: “That ‘keep up mum’ moment.
“Book your Easter break.”
The slogan infuriated customers, with one saying: “Sexism and misogyny from Center Parcs.
“Why not go on holiday to Center Parcs and maintain outdated patriarchal views of a family dynamic.”
Another raged: “The attitude this advert shows is exactly the kind of remarks girls and women are used to.”
One said: “Sorry kids, but won’t be going to Center Parcs ever again.”
The company pulled the advert after being contacted by The Sun.
A spokesperson told us: “We apologise for any offence that our recent social media advertisement may have caused.
“As a result, we have removed this ad.”
Center Parcs has five holiday villages in the UK, each located in acres of forest. A sixth is located in Ireland.
The company was founded by Dutch entrepreneur Piet Derksen in 1968, and is famed for its idyllic family holidays with activities including cycling, archery and climbing.
