CELTIC are committed to signing Adam Idah on a permanent transfer, according to a report.
The on-loan Norwich City striker arrived from the Canaries in January on a six-month move and was instrumental in Brendan Rodgers’ side clinching their third Scottish Premiership title in a row and the Scottish Cup.
It was the Cork-born forward’s late, late goal at Hampden against Rangers which wrapped up the Double for the Parkhead side.when he pounced on an error from Light Blues keeper Jack Butland to send the Celts faithful into raptures.
He popped up with big strikes throughout his stint in Glasgow, grabbing another last-gasp strike to secure a 2-1 away win over Motherwell earlier this year as the Hoops engaged in a back and forth title tussle with their Old Firm rivals.
Idah was also on target at Ibrox in the enthralling 3-3 draw with Philippe Clement’s men in April as he put the visitors back in front after the hosts had levelled it at 2-2 from two goals behind before Rabbi Matondo’s last-minute equaliser.
And it’s big moments like those which have pleased Celts gaffer Rodgers who wants to bring the attacker to the club on a full-time basis as a uselful alternative to Kyogo Furuhashi.

A report from the Daily Record suggests that the Northern Irishman could get his wish with the Parkhead hierarchy willing to recruit Idah’s services from the English Championship side.
Speaking about the striker, Rodgers said: “He’s been a real catalyst for us, especially over the last few months. He’s a big game player. In so many big moments, he’s stepped up to the plate for us.
“I’m so happy for him – a boy from Ireland, a striker scoring the winning goal in the Scottish Cup Final against Rangers. Wow. What a summer he’ll have.
“I don’t know if we’ll get him in the summer, the board will look at it. My talks with Adam will remain private because there’s a lot of work to do. But he knows my feelings and so does the club so we’ll see what happens.”
