BUILDING work is under way at Celtic Park as the Hoops transform the stadium and it’s surroundings ahead of the first Old Firm match of the season.
The Gers make the short journey across the city on August 31 for the first Glasgow grudge match of the season.
The match marks a return to larger away fan allocations after a recent Old Firm lock-out.
A European style allocation of around 5% of the stadium’s total capacity will be in place for the clashes at Celtic Park and Ibrox.
And images taken by SunSport show that work is progressing apace outside the ground as workmen sculp the surroundings of the stadium.
And further work is likely under way inside.

Back in February, the Hoops applied to Glasgow City Council for planning permission for various alterations to the stadium.
These included the installation of security gates and fencing, alterations to existing fencing with formation of gates and new access steps.
As Celtic Park is a bigger stadium, a 5% rule means Gers fans getting 3,000 tickets for Parkhead, with Celtic fans getting 2,500 for the Govan stadium.
Ibrox isn’t available for Rangers home games at the moment – after a supply problem which has delayed work in the Copland Road stand.
Back in April, now departed Rangers chief executive James Bisgrove revealed that work would be required for BOTH stadia ahead of the chance – including new TURNSTILES at Ibrox, and changes to access and ingress at Parkhead.
But he also re-iterated there would be NO return to the days when Hoops fans were given the whole of the Broomloan Road stand.
Responding to a question about how the return of bigger away fans would be policed, Bisgrove said: “One of the reasons zero has been the number at the last two Old Firm games is that both clubs need modifications to their stadiums.
“We will make adjustments to turnstiles, Parkhead will make modifications to ingress and egress to improve the supporter experience.
“Time has been taken to get it right for next season.
“Feedback suggests our away support experience is sub optimal and we hope to get improvement on that with the 5% allocation we will receive at Parkhead.”
