Brayden Dabrowski scores pair as Newton tops Morris Catholic – boys ice hockey recap

Senior Brayden Dabrowski scored twice as Newton/Lenape Valley beat Morris Catholic/St. Elizabeth 6-1 at Skylands Ice Palace in Stockholm. Dabrowski has five two-goal games while compiling 11 goals this winter. Kendra Smith and Joey Gallucci had a goal and an assist each.

Ryan Salerno stopped 30 of 31 shots to earn the win, Newton’s eighth in 11 games.

Colin Shepard scored a power play goal to open the second period and cut a two-goal deficit in half. Morris Catholic is winless through 12 games.
