The Bollywood Hungama OTT Fest, held on October 3, 2024, brought together industry leaders to discuss the rapidly evolving world of India’s OTT platforms. Over the course of the two-day event, numerous celebrities shared their perspectives on the changing dynamics of digital entertainment. Kriti Sanon spoke about her experience stepping into the role of a producer for the first time. Sanon shared insights into the challenges and creative decisions involved in producing her film Do Patti.

Kriti said, “I wanted to be creatively more involved in certain stories that I passionately feel for other than just being an actor, and that freedom comes with being also the producer, because then you really, really go all out and get involved into the whole process of the scripting, to the final draft, to when going, you know, on floors, to music, to the edit, to everything, you find you’re like, really a part of it as a goal, and not just you as an actor. And I think I always felt the craving for that. But of course, it’s a very tough job, and you need, especially when you’re doing it for the first time. You need a good producing partner to support you all the time and take the major load of it, especially when you’re also acting and you’re playing a double role on screen. So I was really happy that Kanika Dhillon was taking a large part of the road, and I could enjoy the creative process.”
