The Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest 2024 and India Entertainment Awards kicked off with a bang on October 3 at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest 2024: Bhuvan Bam on the ambitious vision for Taaza Khabar 2: “The makers gave us the freedom to think beyond our limitations”
Both Bhuvan and Prajakta have successfully transitioned from digital content creators to actors, captivating audiences with their performances in series like Taaza Khabar on Disney+ Hotstar and Mismatched on Netflix, respectively. Their journey from the digital realm to the mainstream television and film industry has been nothing short of inspiring.
During the panel discussion, Bhuvan Bam shed light on the creative process behind the second season of Taaza Khabar. He emphasized the importance of scaling up the ambition and scope of the project from the very beginning. “We approached the second season with the mindset of making it even bigger than the first,” Bhuvan explained. “It all starts with the writing. If you envision a scene to be grand, you need to consider the technical aspects like camera lenses, locations, and more. It’s a domino effect.”
Bhuvan further revealed that the support and encouragement from the platform played a crucial role in pushing the boundaries of their storytelling. “The makers gave us the freedom to think beyond our limitations,” he said. “They encouraged us to write scenes that were ambitious and unconventional, even if they seemed challenging to execute. For instance, we wrote a scene involving a plane crash, and they were fully supportive of the idea. We assured them that we could achieve the desired effect through CGI, but it was important to shoot the scene in a way that made it appear grand and impactful.”
Bhuvan emphasized the importance of collaboration and shared vision within the creative team. “We’ve been fortunate to work with a team that understands and appreciates our creative vision,” he said. “When everyone is on the same page, it’s easier to bring our ideas to life. We can freely discuss our thoughts and collaborate effectively, resulting in a more cohesive and satisfying final product.”
The panel discussion with Bhuvan Bam and Prajakta Koli provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of digital entertainment and the opportunities it presents for content creators. Their experiences serve as inspiration for aspiring artists who dream of making a mark in the OTT industry. As the OTT India Fest continues, we can expect more engaging discussions and thought-provoking conversations from industry leaders.
