The Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and the India Entertainment Awards, held on October 3 brought together industry stalwarts and fresh talent, offering a vibrant platform for discourse on the evolving landscape of digital entertainment. Held on October 3 at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, among the highlights is a panel discussion titled “The Art of Empathy: Navigating Cultural Nuances in Storytelling,” which will delve into the challenges and rewards of creating authentic and inclusive content. The panel featured actors Aparshakti Khurana, Ishwak Singh, and Anupriya Goenka, who shared their insights on the importance of understanding diverse cultures and perspectives in storytelling. They worked together on recent project, Berlin.

Ishwak Singh shared insights into the complexities of portraying characters that use sign language: “Sign language has its own structure and requires a different skill set. It was a challenging task for both Aparshakti and me.”
Aparshakti said, “Ishwak called someone at home to understand the sign language and how they communicate. Ek insaan joh is not from the community and become that person and understand how to lead that life”.
