Party General Secretary Vinod Tawde will be the co-convener of this organisational exercise, which the BJP described as ‘Sangathan Parv’.
BJP national secretary Rituraj Sinha has been given crucial assignment of carrying out membership drive in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and also for party’s youth wing.
The exercise will be carried out in two phases and with an aim of more than ten crore members from all states and UT across the country barring poll bound states.
“The main aim of the objective this exercise is to reach every section of the society. And it should be inclusive and touching all,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
Patra was addressing the press conference after a one day workshop for the membership drive organised by the BJP here at the party headquarters here.Top party leaders BJP chief JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the gathering at the workshop. The BJP was formed for not enjoying the political power but to serve mother India, Patra said quoting Shah’s address to the gathering.
There are four ways any Indian citizen can take BJP membership — missed call, QR code, Namo App, BJP website. Main objective is expand the organisation, Patra added.
The meeting was attended by all national office bearers, state in-charges, co-in-charges, all state BJP presidents, and organization general secretaries.
After the membership drive and organizational elections are held from the Mandal to district and state levels, the new national president of the BJP is likely to be elected.
