Digangana Suryavanshi On Returning to Bigg Boss 18
Digangana explained how Bigg Boss and other popular reality shows gave her a start in her career. She also highlighted how reality shows help prepare contestants for the film industry—not on a bigger scale, but by allowing them to gain experience in front of the camera, which benefits many.
When discussing the possibility of reappearing on Salman Khan’s popular reality show, Digangana said, “The show did very well. It puts you in a position where you get a lot of additional opportunities. It comes down to how many people are watching you and your popularity, and it’s not the kind of show that people easily forget. Eventually, it comes down to how many people are entertained by you. It doesn’t matter if it’s Bigg Boss or any other reality show.”
‘Wanted People To Know My Name Through Bigg Boss’, Says Digangana
Digangana further added, “When Veera ended, Bigg Boss came along, and I wanted to break the monotony. But given the opportunity now, I wouldn’t do Bigg Boss. Back then, I didn’t value my privacy as much. I wasn’t bothered by the idea of people watching me 24/7; I didn’t find it invasive at that point. Before entering Bigg Boss, I had multiple arguments at home. My parents were against it—my father was somewhat neutral because he wanted me to do the show, but my mother wasn’t convinced. She asked me, ‘How would you even survive in the house? You don’t even know how to cook. I’m not convinced.’
The Shivam Bhaje actor further added that at the age of 18, she chose to do Bigg Boss with the intent of making her name known in the industry. However, she now finds the idea of appearing on Bigg Boss 18 invasive. “I don’t think I want to be in a space where people watch me constantly, and I don’t think I want to experience that again,” she stated.
