Biden Ranked 14th Among Presidents, Trump Last, Survey Says

President Joe Biden and Former President Donald Trump may be first in their respective parties, but neither cracked the top 10 when ranking presidents.

Biden was ranked at 14, while Trump came in last, according to The Hill.

“The 2024 Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey which was conducted from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31, included current and recent members of the Presidents and Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association, which is the foremost organization of social science experts in presidential politics,” The Hill reported.

President Abraham Lincoln ranked as America’s greatest president, according to the survey.

Biden placed ahead of notable presidents such as Woodrow Wilson, Ronald Reagan and Ulysses S. Grant.

“Former President Barack Obama was ranked No. 7, eight spots higher than when the experts were polled last year,” The Hill reported.

Trump, the 45th president, came in last — below James Buchanan at 44th, Andrew Johnson at 43rd, Franklin Pierce at 42nd and William Henry Harrison at 41st, according to The Hill.

“The poll also ranked the partisan and ideological differences among respondents, with the surveyors arguing it did not ‘tend to make a major difference overall’ in where presidents were ranked,” The Hill reported. “However, a noticeable partisan split emerged in the rankings for Obama and Biden, with Democrat respondents placing them at an average of sixth and 13th, while Republicans ranked them at 15th and 30th, respectively.”

Franklin Delano Roosevelt came in first as the president most likely to join Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson on Mount Rushmore, according to the survey.

FDR scored 65.4%, way ahead of Obama at 11%. They were followed by a three-way tie between Dwight Eisenhower, James Madison and John Kennedy at 4% each.

Trump came in first in one category — the most polarizing president, earning a 1.64 average with 1 as “most polarizing,” according to the survey.

Washington was the least polarizing.
