New Delhi: The Congress party on Wednesday claimed that the Manipur government has denied permission for “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” following fresh violence in the state. The Yatra is scheduled to begin on January 14 and Rahul Gandhi is likely to lead this march. “We are going to start yatra from Manipur only. If they are not going to give us palace ground, we are going to do this yatra in another location,” Congress leader KC Venugopal said. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Singh said that the decision to permit Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ was actively under consideration. He mentioned that a concrete decision would be made after receiving reports from various security agencies, emphasising the critical law and order situation in Manipur.
