Mumbai, June 25: RR Kabel-Backed BGauss Auto on Tuesday launched a new flagship electric scooter, the RUV 350, in the Indian market. The Ola S1 rival is available in three variants – RUV 350i, RUV 350 EX and RUV 350 Max, where the name RUV stands for ‘Rider Utility Vehicle’. The base variant of the electric scooter costs Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The mid-and top-spec variants carry a price tag of Rs. 1.25 lakh and Rs. 1.35 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Built at BGauss’ manufacturing plant in Chakan, it competes with the Ola S1 lineup, TVS iQube, AtherRizta and the Ather 450S. BSA Gold Star 650 India Launch Confirmed.
The India-made RUV350 will be available across all BGauss dealerships starting next month. Feature-wise, the flagship electric scooter has all-LED lighting, a 5-inch colour TFT touch display, Bluetooth connectivity with call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, a seat with contrast stitching, digital document storage, reverse mode, ride statistics, and more. For storage, it gets 15-litres under-seat space for storing luggage or accommodating a helmet. It also has a dedicated 4.5-litre space inside the floorboard for storing the charger.

BGauss’ latest electric scooter, RUV350, draws power from a 3kWh battery to produce a peak power output of 3.5 kW with 165 Nm of peak torque. The scooter has a top speed of 75 kmph and can hit the 0-40 kmph mark in just 5.8 seconds. The IP67-rated 3kWh battery offers a claimed range of 120 km when fully charged. Notably, the RUV 350 EXi and RUV 350 EX have a claimed range of 90 km. It gets three riding modes- Eco, Ride and Sport. The company will provide three charger options to energize the electric scooter, which includes 500w, 840w and 1350w, offering rated charging times of 5hr 30 mins, 2hr 40 mins and 1hr 55 mins, respectively.

The e-scooter gets a telescopic suspension setup at the front and a 5-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. It rides on 16-inch wheels with tubeless tyres. For braking, the scooter has 130 mm drum brakes at both ends with a combi-braking system. For safety, BGauss’ new scooter comes loaded with features like hill-hold assist and FallSense.
