If you prefer your bacon to be ultra crisp and thoroughly cooked through rather than soft and more on the fatty end, there’s a tried and true method to ensure your bacon comes out crispy – and it involves adding an ingredient to the process that won’t cost you any money.
Over on social media, Chef Kelvin, Kelvin Fernandez, who is an award-winning chef who was awarded among the top 30 chefs under 30 years old for food and wine by Forbes Magazine, has shared how to achieve the “crispiest bacon ever.”
He shared that “the best way” to cook bacon is with water. First, you want to make sure that you’re cooking out the fat of the bacon.
After the water has evaporated, you will be left with the crispiest bacon ever, says Chef Kelvin.
He showed his bacon cooking technique, and as the water had already evaporated, he continued to let the bacon cook through, showing the process of it getting crispy.

Previously, another way to achieve bacon that has a perfect crisp was shared, which involves sprinkling an odd ingredient on top of it.
According to one TikTok creator, you should be scattering flour over your bacon strips before putting them in the oven, to guarantee that you get perfectly crispy bacon as a result.
The TikTok user, @thechoppedcouple, chose an all-purpose flour and sprinkled it across the bacon.
