“Good governance is critical in West Bengal. We, the people of West Bengal, are in the most vulnerable situation when terrorists are apprehended in Murshidabad and Basirhat in North 24 Parganas district, among other places,” Majumdar remarked. Majumdar was speaking at a function honouring former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The state minister said, “the detained terrorists have obtained so many identities-voter ID cards, passports, and other papers – that exceed even what I can show. There is no shortage of their identities. This demonstrates the brilliance of our state government. The terrorists have utilised the state government to transform the demographics of our state and the whole nation.”

Majumdar lashed out at the attitude of the Mamata Banerjee government and accused Trinamool of indulging Muslim appeasement.

“While we are talking about ‘susashan’ (good governance) steered in by Atal Behari Vajpayee ji, we are witnessing lawlessness in the state…,” Majumdar, Union Minister of State for Education said.
