“Rest assured, our doors will remain OPEN, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our community,” the post read in part. “We are honored to have the support of our esteemed city mayor, who is committed to helping local businesses thrive. Together, we aim to collaborate on upcoming future projects that will elevate our restaurant and bring positive changes for all our valued patrons.”
The Facebook post thanked Mayor Lily Mei for supporting the restaurant and it has since garnered dozens of comments from loyal customers who rejoiced after learning the news late last month. “My daughter and I had breakfast there this morning thinking it was going to be our last breakfast,” a customer wrote on Friday. “Glad to hear the new update you will remain open!”
In December, Sinodino told SFGATE that she and her husband planned to close the decades-old restaurant on Dec. 31 after determining that the restaurant had “ran its course.” She added they planned to revamp the space into a new eatery. Dino’s Family Restaurant first opened in 1977.
