About Vicky Kaushal’s Rom-Com ‘Bad Newz’

The story of Bad Newz centres on Saloni Bagga, played by Triptii, who suffers from heteropaternal superfecundation. This rare medical condition results in twins born to the same mother but distinct biological dads. Akhil Chadha and Gurbir Singh, who play Vicky and Ammy, fight with one another to see who can be the finest parent for the kids and the most worthy to win Saloni’s heart. Neha Dhupia plays a key part in the rom-com, produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Amritpal Singh Bindra.

The India.com review of the film read – “The first half will leave you to wonder ‘kya yeh fascinating case hai,’ like Saloni’s doctor would say in the film. It is only the second half that makes more sense. It is here when your emotional chords are strung. This is a complete comedy of errors that will make you laugh. The humour timing is well placed with all other characters slaying the overdramatic family trope.”
