In a touching tribute to his wife, Ayushmann Khurrana has penned a heartfelt note celebrating Tahira Kashyap’s directorial Sharmajee Ki Beti. Accompanying the note, he shared a series of pictures that paint a beautiful narrative of their journey together—from Tahira’s childhood, and their marriage, to her bustling days on the film set.

The multi-talented Ayushmann took to social media to express his admiration and pride. He started his note with a nostalgic reflection, “Every day there are more reasons to be awed by you, by your resilience, by your passion for life, for work, for family. Your soul reflects in everything you touch which is why #SharmajeeKiBeti is such a special film. You fought through the most difficult time of your life during the journey of this film. Maybe this is why #SharmajeeKiBeti is such a heart-tugging story.”
The first picture Ayushmann shared is an endearing snapshot from Tahira’s childhood. Dressed in a vibrant outfit with a beaming smile, young Tahira seems destined for greatness. Ayushmann’s caption read, “You have always been a born writer/director since our theatre days.. Now it’s for the world to see how amazing you are @tahirakashyap.”

The final set of pictures showcases Tahira in her element on the sets of Sharmajee Ki Beti. These candid shots highlight her dedication and passion for filmmaking.
Released on Prime Video today, the film is presented by Applause Entertainment, and produced by Ellipsis Entertainment production. The film is written and directed by Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, and stars Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles, along with, Vanshika Taparia, Arista Mehta, Sharib Hashmi and Parvin Dabas.
A light-hearted and heartwarming movie, Sharmajee Ki Beti explores relevant themes of women’s empowerment and the challenges faced by them. Through the multi-generational lens of three middle-class women and two teenage girls– all sharing the common surname ‘Sharma’, the film delves into their unique experiences and struggles.
