Korean restaurant Mosu, headed by chef Sung Anh and with a branch in Hong Kong at M+ museum, won the Chef’s Choice award, drawing a huge round of applause from the room, especially his fellow Koreans present.

The three-Michelin-star restaurant in Seoul, South Korea, is currently closed pending its relocation and will open in the same neighbourhood by summer, the chef shares.

“I’m speechless,” Anh says of his award. “To explain the feeling that I’ve been voted by chefs around the world, we forget that this is a community.
