Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on September 02 briefed the seven important decisions by the Centre on the development of Agriculture sector of the country. During the briefing, he informed that now through Digital Payment Infrastructure the loans to farmers would be sanctioned within 20 minutes minimizing the paperwork hustle. “This is being developed on lines of the structure of Digital Public Infrastructure for agriculture. A few good pilot projects have been taken up and we have achieved success. On that basis, with a total investment of Rs 2,817 Crores, Digital Agriculture Mission will be set up… Now the loans would be sanctioned in 20 minutes,” said Ashwini Vaishnaw.
