Asda has issued a warning after its multipack juices were recalled earlier this month. The supermarket explained that their juice drinks, produced by manufacturer Refresco Beverages UK Limited, are still “unsafe to drink”.
The urgent food warning comes after a “potential metal contamination in the straws” was found. They explained: “Refresco Beverages UK Limited is recalling various juice drinks because the straws may be contaminated with metal, making them unsafe.”
The Food Standards Agency shared its advice and urged shoppers to return the products and “do not use them” if they have them at home.
They said: “If you have bought the above products, do not use them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund. If you would like any further information, please contact the relevant brands’ customer service lines listed on the point of sale recall notices.”
