While talking to Pinkvilla, Arjun Kapoor talked about working with Ranveer Singh in the Ali Abbas Zafar film and praised the way it was shot and how they were presented. Kapoor stated how the film gave people a chance to see that he and Ranveer have terrific chemistry. About Priyanka, Arjun Kapoor said how she was out of their league. “Priyanka Chopra was a big star… she still is, but what I mean is she was out of our league, just like she is in the film in that sense, and then she did the film,” said the Singham Again star. Abour Irrfan, Arjun shared how delighted he was to work in the film with the late actor. “Ali mounted it; Adi sir (Aditya Chopra) believed that was the way to really connect with the masses,” Kapoor said.

The actor believes that if Gunday had released today, it would’ve been a bigger hit. The Ishaqzaade star said that at that time, the movies were going through a multiplex era and there was a distance from the mass and mainstream material. “Gunday is exactly what today is being celebrated; it’s high octane; it’s larger than life,” shared Arjun.
