To complete the wedding festivities, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Nicholai Sachdev threw a massive reception party with several prominent political leaders and celebrities in attendance.

Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar recently tied the knot with Mumbai gallerist Nicholai Sachdev on July 3, 2024. The couple kick-started their wedding festivities with a sangeet and mehendi on June 30 and later promised forever to each other. To complete the festivities, the couple threw a massive reception party with several prominent political leaders and celebrities in attendance.

A Star-Studded Guest List

Bollywood’s renowned faces, including AR Rahman, Atlee, Balakrishna, Jackie Shroff, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Kichcha Sudeep, Mani Ratnam, Ramya Krishnan, Shobana, and Siddharth, were a part of the wedding festivities. Along with them, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, were also spotted at the reception.

Other attendees included Prabhudeva, Andrea Jeremiah, Jiiva, and Suresh Gopi. For the reception, Varalaxmi donned a plum and silver lehenga complemented by diamond jewellery, while Nicholai chose a dark bandhgala. Varalaxmi’s father, Sarathkumar, and Radhika Sarathkumar also posed for pictures with the guests.

Back on March 1, 2024, Varalaxmi and Nicholai made it official after they got engaged. “We met 14 years ago, and instantly, there was something, but we didn’t date then. We stayed in touch as friends, and it’s only recently that love blossomed,” she told Galatta in an interview. She also added, “He makes me laugh, supports my career, and always puts me first. He’s extremely loving, pampering, and fiercely protective of me. We share a love for food; he even completes my sentences.
