Under the leadership of MD Sameer Nair, Applause Entertainment teamed up with Andolan Films in order to create a show that not only resonates with audiences but also sparks important conversations about justice and reform. As Black Warrant premiered, it has been winning rave reviews for its gripping narrative, stellar performances, and hard-hitting exploration of corruption, power dynamics, and redemption.
With every twist and turn, the series promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, and deliver a cinematic experience that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. Based on the 2019 non-fiction book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury, it stars Zahan Kapoor as Gupta, alongside Rahul Bhat, Paramvir Singh Cheema, and Anurag Thakur.
