Anil Kapoor, riding high on the success of Animal and Fighter, has set his sights on his next project, the action-drama Subedaar. The announcement earlier this year generated excitement among fans, and recently, Kapoor himself fueled the anticipation by sharing a glimpse of his preparations for the role on social media.

The photo, posted on Kapoor’s Instagram account, showcased the actor involved in his pre-production routine. The caption, in Hindi, says, “Abhi toh haath utha hi kahaan hai , Yeh toh bas Taiyyari hai #Subedaar Prep begins (Just getting started. This is just preparation for #Subedaar),” hinting at the intense physical training the role might demand.
Subedaar promises to be a return to form for Kapoor. The film’s synopsis is rumoured to center around a retired military officer named Arjun Singh grappling with civilian life. The story is expected to explore themes of family, societal issues, and the challenges of reintegration after serving in the armed forces.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, Subedaar is expected to premiere on Prime Video soon. The film has been jointly bankroled by Abundantia Entertainment, Opening Image, Anil Kapoor Film, and Communication Network Pvt. Ltd.
Beyond Subedaar, Kapoor is venturing into new territory. He is gearing up to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss OTT 3, which begins streaming on June 21st. This marks Kapoor’s first time as a host, showcasing his versatility and willingness to explore different avenues within the entertainment industry.
Rumors also suggest Kapoor might be joining YRF’s spy universe, further expanding his already impressive filmography.
