Android users will NEVER have to wait in a phone queue again as Google reveals game-changing free upgrade

ANDROID users may never have to waste their time in a phone queue again thanks to an ingenious new feature Google is working on.

The tech giant is reportedly testing a new “Talk to a Live Representative” feature that allows the company’s software to do it all on your behalf.

That means the software will call a business for you, navigate through its options, wait on hold, and then notify you when there’s a real human on the other end to talk to.

The feature was first spotted by X (formerly Twitter) user Sterling who said the feature closely resembled an existing Google Pixel feature called “Hold for Me”.

But instead of being enabled once you’ve been placed on hold like “Hold for Me”, “Talk to a Live Representative” offers to actually proactively call a business on your behalf.

It will also be available to all non-Pixel Android devices, including Samsung.

Not all businesses are supported, but several airlines, carriers, retailers, and other companies are.

Through the Google app, it will be available to iPhone users.

It is not accessed inside the phone app.

It is only available when searching for a company’s customer support number in Chrome or Safari.

Once you click on the number, a “Request a call” button will appear – only if the company supports the feature.

Supported businesses include a selection of US airlines, network companies, retailers, insurance, and other services.

You then select the reason for your call, and Google will work its magic, providing you with SMS updates on its progress.

“Not all businesses are supported, but several airlines, carriers, retailers, and other companies are,” Popular Android leaker Mishaal Rahman wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

It’s unclear when the feature will landed on all Android handsets, as it is still experimental.

As 9to5Google notes, for now, it is only available in the US via the Google app on iOS and Android as well as Chrome desktop.
