Before the big day, the Ambanis and Merchants threw several pre-wedding functions. The gala affair began earlier in March this year when the family organised different functions at Jamnagar in Gujarat. Later, in May, the family hosted a massive cruise ride all across France, Italy and Europe and different B-town celebs were a part of it. Finally, the last leg of celebrations started to take place just 10 -12 days before the wedding. The entire country witnessed a lavish sangeet followed by a haldi and mehendi ceremony.
