Anaconda on Agni sets? Jitendra Joshi SHOCKS everyone at trailer launch until Divyenndu’s clarification brings the house down
Agni marks the second collaboration between Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu. Pratik revealed, “We shot this film first before Madgaon Express (2024). The friendship we had in that film is seen more in Agni. Iss film mein hamari jo dosti aur dushmani saath mein dikhti hai is more fun.”
When asked to mention one good thing about Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi replied, “That’s difficult!” Then, he was asked to talk about one bad thing about the Mirzapur actor. Pratik Gandhi joked, “That’s also difficult because there’s a list!”
Pratik Gandhi continued with his funny comments, “It’s difficult to concentrate when he’s around. Ek toh aapko koi dekhta nahin hai when he’s around (as he’s so good-looking).”
Divyenndu now decided to give back, albeit as a joke. He said, “Pratik is a great guy. Seekh raha hai abhi bhi. I love that he has no ego. If he has any problem, he asks me, ‘Divyenndu, yeh scene nahin ho pa raha hai. Kaise karu?’. I really like that about him. He’s a very humble guy. Keep it up, Pratik!”
Everyone on the stage and off the stage had a hearty laugh and Pratik Gandhi added, “This is how we worked (smiled).”
The fun continued when Jitendra Joshi said, “I have worked in several films but the arrangements for junior artists on the sets of Agni were one of a kind. I saw that anacondas were kept on the sets in the area where juniors were asked to sit.”
For a moment, everyone in the audience was shocked as they feared that dangerous snakes were present on the sets of Agni. Divyenndu instantly realized and clarified, “Anaconda is a type of air conditioner. I thought I’d clarify as it might sound conflicting!” As expected, it brought the house down.
Jitendra Joshi, however, raised some important points, “Our parents have narrated to us the tales of Vikram and Betaal or stories of braveries. To kids, we say, ‘Shor mat kar. Warna police aa jaayegi’. When I was offered Agni, I felt ashamed as bachpan mein mere maa baap ne aur mere ghar waalon ne firefighter ki kahani hi nahin batayi thi! During the workshop, we realized that this is a story that needs to be told.”
He continued, “Whenever we see a cop or soldier on the street, we tend to salute them. I hope after this film releases, people salute firefighters as well.” This statement led to applause in the hall.
Agni releases on Amazon Prime Video on December 6.
