After roping in Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, the makers of Mufasa: The Lion King have decided to feature Mahesh Babu in the Telugu version
Telugu actor Mahesh Babu has been chosen to lend his voice to the character of Mufasa in the much-anticipated Telugu version of Mufasa: The Lion King. He claims this privilege after Shah Rukh Khan. This movie is a masterpiece from the acclaimed director, Barry Jenkins. It is expected to hit the cinema screens in India on December 20th in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Recently Mahesh Babu recorded his statement where he said, “I have always admired Disney’s blockbuster legacy of entertainment and timeless storytelling; the character of Mufasa appeals to me not only as a loving father guiding his son but as the supreme king of the jungle taking care of his clan.” Mahesh further added, “My family means everything to me, and this collaboration with Disney is personally very special as it is an experience I will cherish with my children! I am looking forward to when my family as well as my fans will be watching Mufasa: The Lion King in Telugu on the big screen on 20th December.”
The highly anticipated Mufasa: The Lion King will also lend a voice to Brahmanandam who will be dubbing the character Pumbaa, and Ali will give his voice to Timon. Fans can look forward to catching the Telugu version of the trailer slated for release at precisely 11:07 am on August 26. Prepare for a cinematic blend of familiar and fresh faces, brought to life through a seamless combination of living action shooting and strikingly real digital visual effects.
Recently Bollywood star, Shah Rukh Khan was roped in for the Hindi version of Mufasa. His sons, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan join him in this venture. Fans could again hear Shah Rukh as Mufasa, while Aryan and AbRam will voice Simba and young Mufasa, respectively. AbRam is just stepping into the world of voice acting through this project, whereas Aryan and Shah Rukh have worked together before. In fact, they were part of the 2019 Hindi adaptation of ‘The Lion King’, and their roles were just as they are now – father as Mufasa and son as Simba.
