Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, is currently studying for her MBA at IIM Ahmedabad. Recently, the 26-year-old gave a glimpse into her life at the prestigious institute and how she prefers to spend her Saturday nights attending online classes instead of going out for party and socializing.
Speaking to India Today, Navya said, “I have classes from 6 pm to 10 pm on Saturdays.I stay at home. I’ve always loved learning. I think it is never too late for learning.”
Navya, daughter of Shweta Bachchan and businessman Nikhil Nanda, shared that she enjoys being an active student, often sitting in the front row and participating in discussions. She’s excited to learn alongside classmates from various backgrounds, which she believes will help her grow personally and professionally. She is grateful for the chance to study at one of India’s top institutions, learning from expert professors, and is focused on using this experience to become a better entrepreneur.

During the same conversation, Navya also addressed the trolling she faced after her admission to IIM-Ahmedabad and how she manages negativity and feedback on social media. She said that if she sees herself as working for others, she shouldn’t be upset by their opinions. She added that feedback is important because it helps her become a better person, entrepreneur, and Indian.
“I accept that I come from a very different lived reality. People will have something to say about that. I don’t give a lot of thought to what people say negatively; I use it to do the best I can do in my journey,” Navya added.
Navya is currently enrolled in IIM Ahmedabad’s Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP), a two-year MBA course designed for working professionals and entrepreneurs. A few weeks ago, Navya shared her excitement about getting enrolling at IIM-Ahmedabad. While some questioned her enrollment, many fans defended her online.
