Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 might get a new camera design
- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 image, uploaded by tipster Ice Universe, shows one of the rear camera sensors.
- The image only shows the camera module will have a new design compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
- Instead of just a circular glass covering around the camera sensor akin to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, we see a circular casing with a frills-like design around it.
- The leak only suggests the camera module will get a new design but doesn’t say anything about the hardware details at the moment.
- It makes sense to believe that Samsung is giving the camera module a design makeover considering there is an upgrade to the specification in the offing.
- This is an interesting development considering initial reports only suggested just incremental updates to the Z Fold 6 this year.
Ice Universe recently said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a less visible crease compared to the Z Fold 5. However, the crease will still be present but only less noticeable. This can be seen as a valid design improvement over the Z Fold 5.
Furthermore, rumours claim that Samsung will adopt a new boxier design and a wider outer screen, as opposed to a slightly narrow display on the Z Fold 5. This should enable more screen real estate. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 overall is said to be thinner and lighter.
The recent Geekbench listing revealed the foldable would come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will be paired with 12GB RAM but there could be other options at launch. The phone could house a 4,400mAh battery but with the same 25W fast charging support.
