This Friday, Akshay Kumar starrer Sky Force hit theatres. It is Akshay’s first release of 2025 and has received mixed reviews. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the action drama also stars Nimrat Kaur, Veer Pahariya, and Sara Ali Khan in pivotal roles. Akshay’s film had a good opening on its first day. However, the second-day numbers have seen a massive jump of 71 percent at the box office.

On its opening day, the Akshay Kumar starrer earned Rs 15.30 crores. Thanks to all the positive word-of-mouth and social media buzz, Sky Force collected an estimated Rs 26.30 crore at the box office on its second day. It’s a big deal for the actor, who has been facing challenges to mint good numbers at the box office for the past few years. What’s interesting is that Akshay’s latest movie has surpassed the collection of his last theatrical release.
The overall box office collection of Akshay’s film so far is Rs 41.60 crore. On its third day, which is Republic Day, the numbers are expected to take a good jump. As reported by Koimoi, the actor’s latest action drama has left behind Khel Khel Mein’s lifetime collection, which was Rs 40.32 crores. Furthermore, after 3 days, Sky Force is also expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. It can be safely said that the first weekend for the actor’s film will end on a positive note.
If the numbers keep growing, this movie might turn into a hit that Akshay fans have been wanting their favourite star to finally have. It would be exciting to see if the movie also crosses the Republic Day record of movies like Raees, Padmaavat, Fighter, and others.
