Khandwani posted a clip capturing Kumar’s visit to the sacred Haji Ali Dargah, where you can see him offering prayers and laying out a traditional chaddar. “Bollywood Super Star Padmashri @akshaykumar generously took the responsibility for a section of the renovation expenses, amounting to Rs 1,21,00,000/- for the renovation work underway of Haji Ali Dargah,” Khandwani wrote, “It was my honor as Managing Trustee with my entire team to welcomed the philanthropist. Duaa for his late parents and the entire nation was made.”

Mohammad Ahmed Taher, Administrative officer of Haji Ali Trust issued a statement that read, “With the Haji Ali Dargah’s renovation underway, Padmashri Akshay Kumar, a true Mumbaikar, was the quickest to respond with great warmth and devotion. On Thursday, he generously took responsibility for a section of the renovation expenses, amounting to Rs1,21,00,000. He was warmly received by Mr. Suhail Khandwani, Managing Trustee of Haji Ali Dargah Trust and Mahim Dargah Trust along with his team. We offer our prayers for the departed souls of his parents, Late Aruna Bhatia and Late Hari Om Bhatia, and express our deepest gratitude to him. Prayer for our country’s prosperity and may peace and harmony prevail.”
