Ajay Devgn and Tabu are all set to enthrall audiences with their upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The movie was originally scheduled to hit the big screens on July 5, 2024. However, amid the massive success of Kalki 2898 AD and to avoid a clash, the makers decided to shift the release date. On July 6, Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Neeraj Pandey announced the new release date on their social media handles.
Release Date of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha
Sharing the post, Ajay captioned it, “The wait ends on 2nd August! ❤️.” Neeraj shared the poster of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and wrote, “Dear friends, The new date for our release is…” The picture was captioned, “In cinemas August 2, 2024.”
The movie marks the first collaboration between the actor-director duo. Ajay and Tabu, who starred in numerous films together in the ’90s, reunited for projects like Drishyam, Golmaal Again, De De Pyaar De, Drishyam 2, and Bholaa. The trailer for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha highlights crime and violence against the backdrop of an unusual romance spanning 22 years. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar portray the younger versions of Ajay and Tabu, respectively.

In an interview with News18, director Neeraj opened up on the most asked question of why he chose to de-age Ajay and Tabu instead of having Shantanu and Saiee play the younger characters. He replied, “We were very clear from day one that there would be two different sets of actors to portray two age groups because that fits the story and that, I think, is the beauty of it. People change after 24. Our physical appearance changes.”
Coming to Ajay Devgn’s work front, the actor will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham 2. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles.
