Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of India’s biggest conglomerates, Tata Group, passed away on Wednesday, October 9 at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. He was undergoing treatment in critical condition and was in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). He was 86. A press statement by Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran read, “It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation”.
Ratan Tata’s death has left a deep void. Bollywood celebrities have shared heartfelt tributes to mourn the loss of the legendary figure. The actors recalled his leadership, values, and contributions that shaped India. Ajay Devgn mourned the loss of Ratan Tata saying, “The world mourns the loss of a visionary. Ratan Tata’s legacy will forever inspire generations. His contributions to India and beyond are immeasurable. We are deeply grateful. Rest in peace, Sir.”
Riteish Deshmukh is saddened by the demise of Tata. He wrote, “Deeply saddened to know that Shri #RatanTata ji is no more. Condolences to the family and loved ones. Rest In Glory Sir.”
Boney Kapoor mourned the loss of Ratan Tata and honored his legacy, writing, “A legendary business icon, a thoughtful leader, a visionary, a global inspiration, a benevolent philanthropist, and an avid investor for startups, Shri Ratan Tata has inspired generations of Indians. Sanjay Dutt also posted, “India has lost a true visionary today. He was a beacon of integrity and compassion whose contributions went beyond business, impacting countless lives. May his soul find peace.
Veteran actress Simi Garewal who was reportedly in a relationship with Ratan Tata, was deeply affected by his loss. She tweeted, “They say you have gone .. It’s too hard to bear your loss..too hard.. Farewell my friend..#RatanTata”.
